Restoration Coalitions are locally formed groups of independent ministries, businesses, and organizations who share a common purpose and have agreed to work together to help build a more unified approach to demonstrating God’s love to their hurting communities during crisis.

The voluntary coalition is locally formed and each organization maintains its own autonomy. No one is strong-armed to do anything they don’t want to do, or give up control of their buildings, personnel, or equipment, it is all voluntary.

Members of the coalition have agreed to unify their efforts to serve their community. Like the families in the book of Nehemiah rebuilding the city wall, the organizations work together so that each of their efforts is coordinated to ensure no gaps or overlaps in the needs of the community happen.

Members also agree to a very basic statement of faith, a code of conduct, commit to coordinate together, and to take actions to improve their own level of preparedness so they are able to serve the community in times of crisis.

During a crisis, the coalition will convene and send a representative to the local emergency management official to assess how it can best support the community. Additionally, the coalition will utilize its relationships with the community to identify any unmet needs and develop a plan to collaboratively meet them.

Do not forsake your own friend or father’s friend, And do not go to your brother’s house in the day of calamity; Better is a neighbor who is near than a brother far away.

— Proverbs 27:10 - Bible

[Still under development] In the future, Restoration Coalitions will have access to a catalog of crisis organization that can help provide support to the needs of the community. These organizations provide support for a range of crises, from individual assistance, including: mental health, domestic abuse, human trafficking, and pregnancy support; to disaster assistance, including: medical response teams, food and water supplies, emergency sheltering support, demolition and construction teams, non-perishable supplies, and skilled labor. While many of these organization donate their time and resources, the inventory does contain organizations that have costs associated with their services.

[Still under development] Out of Rubble has also developed a growing group of professional Emergency Managers that we call the Nehemiah Cadre. These experienced individuals have offered a portion of their time to answer questions, suggest solutions, and provide counsel. They can be a calm voice during some of the most hectic times.

Restoration Coalitions are a more effective, efficient, and sustainable way for ministries, businesses, and organizations to demonstrate God’s love to your hurting communities.
